The shield is there to remove all risk in the event you didn't bring a ruler to properly measure the difference between the dots. If they start R1 spamming, you can easily reposition yourself to a more favorable spot or you can mix in rolls and punish in-between attacks depending on their weapon.Īre you a defensive player who likes to play mindgames? Okay, use a shield when you're trying to space them out. Punish their rolls with well-timed R1's when they refuse to give you dat sugar. You can get within kissing distance with little to no risk.
